Waking up going downstairs there's not just me,
but right next to me, my invisible enemy.
Getting ready, having a wash, doing your hair,
and it's still lingering right there.
School time soon approaching,
but that's not for me.
But instead stuck at home;
sitting with my invisible enemy!
End of year, prom time looms close,
everything i dream of;
The perfect dress, my friends,
a night to remember!
But instead stuck at home on my own;
but not totally... guess who
MY INVISIBLE ENEMY!
As i sit here writing this,
my eyes drooping, my head fogged,
my arms aching,
My master pulling my strings,
Who could it be... my invisible enemy!
Summer time comes,
playing outside with the dog,
walking around town with my mates,
and cooking tea.
But wait before you beam with happiness,
i get shuck with a shock;
it was a dream
I'm home alone draped on the sofa,
in the shadows you guessed it,
my invisible enemy!
Dressed up make up on,
poeple saying you look well.
But really hiding the pain,
as what loomes beneath my pale skin...
My invisible enemy!
Night time,
all you want to do is sleep,
but it's there attached to me.
Prodding me with all it's power,
my invisible enemy!
Who is this invisible enemy you ask?
it's my life;
a body full of aches and pains,
a head full of broken dreams,
but keeping them safe in a keepsake box.
Hoping my dreams will one day, become a reality!
